Residential Custom Wine Cellars Dallas Texas Lucas – Nelson
This is a really good example of what can be done in a home where space is in limited supply. If you are a wine enthusiast and would dearly love to have your own custom wine cellar but are faced with the fact that your home is just not big enough to dedicate a room to your passion, you may find that this project provides helpful insight.
In the video below we take you through the design details of how to turn closets into stunning Custom Wine Cellars without breaking the bank. We believe that this Residential Wine Room really set the standard for serious wine enthusiasts – Yes, you really can have your own wine cellar even in a small home!
This residential closet conversion created a dedicated wine cellar capable of holding up to an amazing 271 wine bottles. At 5’9″ by 3’6″ deep this closet was a challenge to design to look great and at the same time make great use of the available space. The door into the cellar for example only left 8″ to play with. We, therefore, began with single deep wine racks on the left-hand side, flowing into a mini quarter-round display that transitions into a full-depth horizontal rack.
We also managed to incorporate lattice “X” bins or cubes and a nice presentation lit solid arch with a Wine Tasting Table which was surrounded with 750ml standard storage and even a high reveal display row all packed along the back wall. Under the table, we added double deep case storage capable of handling up to six cases of bulk storage wine.
This wine cellar closet conversion is actually fully climate controlled with wine cellar refrigeration units from WhisperKool wine cellar cooling systems.
Who would have thought such a small space could have been turned into such a good looking fully climate-controlled Custom Wine Cellar?
