Knotty Alder Wine Room

We were approached by the Yugueros family to build this lovely wine cellar, conveniently located next to a bar area here in their Atlanta Georgia home. Building a custom wine cellar turned a common area in their home into a unique scene. The cellar was created using Knotty Alder and colored with Chestnut stain and lacquer.
Dual Pane Glass Doors
As you approach the wine room you get a full view of the entire cellar and all of its design elements. It offers a large glass door with a window to the right and left. Using dual pane glass gives the cellar the right insulation for the space while allowing guests and family members to view inside and enjoy the sight of the wine collection. Sidelights add a touch of drama to the display.
Custom Crafted Arch and Wine Racks
The visual focal point of the wine cellar is the custom crafted Knotty Alder arch, which is centered on the back wall.
Individual bottle storage curves around the corners, ending at the front wall.
There’s a double deep back wall tabletop with solid X bins and rolling double deep case storage underneath.
Recessed LED ceiling lighting is on a dim-able switch. A separate dim-able switch for the display rows and a puck light are also included.
High-Quality Home Wine Cellar Cooling System

No beautiful wine cellar would be complete without a top-quality cooling unit, appropriate for the space in the residence. The owners in this project chose a CellarPro 3200si ducted self-contained unit. It sits in a mechanical room nearby. We ducted it to the wine cellar. The hot air is ducted out of the home from the mechanical room.
By placing the cooling unit in a separate room, and ducting the airflow, we reduced the sound heard in the wine cellar, making the entire wine collecting experience more optimal.
