Custom Wine Cellar Specialists Helped a High-End Specialty Store in Displaying, Serving, and Organizing Their Wines
City Vineyard is a famous specialty store in Montana. They provide the needs of their community for craft beer and fine wines. You will find various types of wines and beers in their beer coolers. They also sell gourmet food, which you can pair with your choice of drink from their store.
With a growing business, it was necessary for them to display, serve, and store all their products in an effective, efficient, and convenient way. Keep in mind that the proper presentation of your products will help improve your margins.
Wine Cellar Specialists was able to help them generate sales by focusing on the ideal racking design for a commercial wine storage room. They used their passion, creativity, and expertise to create a wine room with form and function in mind.
What are the Important Considerations in Designing a Commercial Wine Storage with the Goal of Improving Wine Sales?
When creating a design for a commercial wine storage facility, we consider essential factors that would affect the overall appeal and capacity of your racking system. These include the size and shape of the room and the number of bottles you intend to display and store.
We also make sure that the racking styles will entice the customers to purchase your products. Displaying your wines in shelves, boxes, or mediocre wine racks will not attract people’s attention. Your wine display should stand out and impress potential clients.
Stylish and High-Density Custom Wine Racks for a Commercial Wine Storage Facility
In a commercial setting, we recommend the business owners to provide their customers with various wine options. When built by a professional, your racking design can result in more purchases and increased profit. In this wine cellar construction project, we created a wine rack design with a high-density storage capacity to give clients a wide array of choices.
There should be more wines displayed in your store rather than kept in the stockroom. Moreover, the wine racks also allow for easy reading of labels.
We installed round aisle wine racks on both sides of the store. These storage racks display the bottles with style and elegance. The top section holds the bottles at an angle. Below it are individual wine racks, which store one bottle in every rack opening horizontally.
In the middle of the room, we installed high-density retail commercial wine racks that hold a massive number of bottles. The owners grouped the wines according to types. They placed wine labels on top of the wine racks to provide convenience to customers in locating their favorite wines.
The first three rows display the bottles at an angle. The bottom section of the racking consists of double-deep wine racks, which store one bottle in front of the other. We also added wooden case bins for bulk storage.
You will find retail stackers on one of the walls in the store, near the bar area. This type of wine rack has ledges in front to allow a few bottles to be displayed vertically. We added lattice X bins at the topmost section of the racking, which can be accessed by using a rolling ladder.
Our commercial wine racks can be mixed and match to create a stunning display that showcases your wines. Each wine rack has horizontal dado spacer bars and a 1 1/2″ toe-kick base for increased stability.

Functional and Stylish Commercial Wine Rack Display That Gives Customers an Attraction and Easy Access
Just a few steps from the splendid wine wall is the main shopping area where customers can bask in its exquisite wine blocks. Combined with the systematic arrangement of wines, they create an impactful commercial wine rack display.
The wine blocks are placed at eye level. Wine shoppers can easily reach for the expensive wines on the lower level, as well as the less expensive wines on the upper. Customers can effortlessly pick their favorite as the wines are laid out at arm’s length according to variety. There is a wine block for Chardonnay, another for Pinot Noir, and another for Sirach, and so on.
Meanwhile, imported wines are displayed by region. You will find a dedicated area for Italian wines, French wines, Australian wines, and Southern American wines, among others. City Vineyard has always wanted to provide convenient wine shopping for its customers, and these comfortable restaurant wine racks prove to be an achievement.
Wine Bar: a Great Place for Serving and Drinking the Wines
The big bar area was intended to provide customers with a convenient place for eating and drinking. Right at the back of the bar, we installed double deep wine racks, which enhanced the overall appeal of the room. We designed the racking with an area for storing the wine glasses upside down. We also incorporated drawers at the bottom section for additional storage of the store’s accessories.
Creating a Stable Environment to Preserve the Wine’s Quality Will Help Boost Wine Sales
Maintaining optimum storage conditions is crucial for a commercial establishment that sells wine. You must hire a technical expert to ensure that the correct refrigeration system is installed in your commercial wine cellar. In this project and all the rest of the projects we completed, we made a careful assessment to ensure that the climate-control system installed would preserve our client’s collection for many years to come.
